Primary Purpose:
Maintain accurate attendance records for the campus. Under direct supervision, perform data entry including Public Education Information Management System (PEIMS) data, and grades.

 

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Proficient keyboarding, file maintenance, and 10-key skills
  • Ability to use personal computer and software to develop spreadsheets, databases, and do word processing
  • Ability to meet established deadlines
  • Ability to produce accurate and timely reports
  • Two years data entry experience

 

Major Responsibilities and Duties:

  1. Collect and enter PEIMS data from handbook and demographic forms into established database and verify accuracy according to established procedures.
  2. Prepare and print daily, weekly and or monthly reports as well as end-of-semester and end-of-year reports.
  3. Prepare and print Snapshot reports.
  4. Maintain physical and computerized records, including student cumulative folders, failure reports, class rosters, and schedule changes if applicable.
  5. Assist Principal or designee with master schedule.
  6. Process new student records, including requesting transcripts and records from other schools, setting up cumulative folder, and entering student data into appropriate databases.
  7. Assist parents, students, and faculty with questions regarding student records.
  8. Process and transmit requests for student information and transcripts.
  9. Process information for and print verification sheets.
  10. Process information for and print report cards.
  11. Enter discipline data into established database.
  12. Prepare and process student withdraw documentation.
  13. Assist counselors with new student registration.
  14. Assist in campus office as needed.
  15. Maintain confidentiality.
  16. Other duties as assigned.

Personal computer, printer, copier, fax machine, and calculator.

 

Working Conditions:

Repetitive hand motions; prolonged use of computer.
