Title: Safety and Security Technician (2408)

Primary Purpose:                    

Serve as the District’s primary person for ID badge and access fob issuance and management.  Video and access control monitoring. Campus Audit support and follow up.  Support call center operations.  Coordinate timely communication to district leadership.

 

This position is a weekly rotating schedule during educational days:

Week one: 6 AM – 3 PM

Week two: 10 AM – 7 PM

 

Summer hours and non-educational days:

8 AM – 5 PM

 

Qualifications:

 

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Process district ID badges.
    • District employees
    • Contract Service groups.
    • Helpdesk tickets
  2. Access fob control
    • Issue and term access fobs for district employees.
    • Create access reports.
    • Set up schedules.
    • Student access cards
    • Issue and term access fobs for contract service groups.
    • Create sub access fobs.
    • Issue summer school fobs and summer programs.
    • Monitor violation activity.
  3. Set up campus events with free access door control.
  4. Process campus audits.
    • Campus audit scheduling
    • Google drive – surveys and toolkits
    • Organize Reports
    • Google drive spreadsheets to campus and district requirements
    • Create SchoolDude work orders.
  5. Monitor monthly Fire Drills through NaviGate
  6. Assist with 911 Notification system.
  7. Assist with ReadyOp Notifications
  8. Backup Call Center operators
    • Monitor camera activity.
    • Radio activity
  9. Assist with Raptor
    • Update staff access.
    • Application support to campuses
  10. Assist with updating Safety and Security Tool Kit information on the district website.
  11. Assist with Safety and Security supplies and Go-Kits for the campus.
  12. Assist with various daily Safety and Security needs.
  13. Provide clerical assistance as needed.
  14. Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information in a professional manner.
  15. Support Campuses with video review and preservation.
  16. Work with Athletics and District event schedule.
  17. Schedule Officers for District security needs
  18. Work with Event Staff (Vendor) on schedules and staffing needs.
  19. Collect and maintain 911 notification database.
  20. Assist in conducting 911 testing and notifications.
  21. Report cameras that are not working correctly to technology for repair
  22. Assist with Special events planning and staffing.
  23. Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Equipment Used:

Personal computer, printer, copier, calculator, multi-line phone, radio, access control system, ID badge system and a fax machine.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities:
N/A

 

Working Conditions:

Work with frequent interruptions; maintain emotional control under stress; occasional districtwide travel.

Repetitive hand motions, Position requires frequent bending, stooping, twisting, pulling, overhead reaching, sitting, and keyboarding. Position requires the ability to lift 25 pounds to waist high.
