Primary Purpose:
Assist Instructional Resource Manager with campus and warehouse inventory controls, including receiving, distributing, tracking, delivering, and picking up materials. Responsible for the day-to-day operation of all district-wide instructional materials and related inventory management functions. Responsible for ensuring the accuracy of records related to the inventory management system.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Valid Texas driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record
- Forklift certification - can be obtained when hired
- Successful work experience in a school environment preferred
- General knowledge of current textbook laws, rules, and regulations
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Effective organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in word processing, database, spreadsheet, and file maintenance
- Working knowledge of shipping/receiving, inventory, and stocking process
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
Instructional Materials
- Supports the instructional materials program for the district, including entering orders, printing pick-tickets, inventories, transfers, fulfilling orders, responding to campus requests and training of campus staff.
- Generate and process receipt of textbook purchase orders.
- Assist campuses with instructional materials orders and inventories.
- Provide assistance to campuses to resolve instructional materials problems.
- Supports the distribution center in receiving, processing, and distributing materials from vendors to campuses.
- Deliveries of small orders to campuses.
- Pickups of small returns or out of adoption materials from campuses.
Inventory:
- Maintain district inventory management systems.
- Organize and maintain warehouse and warehouse inventory.
- Assist in preparing fall cycle counts and end-of year inventories.
- Generate, review, and work with campuses for campus textbook inventory reports.
- Assist the coordinator and campuses to maintain accurate inventories.
- Organize and maintain records for out of adoption/obsolete materials.
- Process out of adoption materials for removal from campuses and the district.

Computer, calculator, printer, copier, fax machine, forklift, single man lift, pallet jack, rolling staircase.
Working Conditions:
Work with frequent interruptions and maintain emotional control under stress. Required to lift 50 pounds, move large quantities of instructional materials which may include books, manipulatives, furniture, supplies, etc. Repetitive hand motions, bending, stooping, reaching, lifting, twisting, overhead lifting, typing and driving. Frequent district-wide travel.
